Our Trip to Disneyland!

Friday June 19, we left to St. George. We stayed at the Best Western Coral Hills. It was a nice motel. I was scared it was going to be run down and full of bugs. I was surprised, because I liked it. Saturday morning we went to pick up a rental car. We reserved a full size car, but the full size car had something wrong with it so they let us take a mini van for the same price. I was scared we wouldn't have room for all our stuff in a car, but I didn't have to worry about that with the van. We had plenty of room. We rented a white Kia Sedona. Although it was nice, I don't think that would be my choose of car or van.
We than went to Las Vegas. We ate at In and Out burger and than went to check in at our hotel. We stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton. The Hilton was also a nice hotel. Before we left I was reading reviews on the hotels we were planing on staying at and there was a couple of reviews for the Hilton about bed bugs. I was so scared. That is disgusting. But we had no bed bugs and everything was good. We had a king size bed at every hotel except for the on in Cali. That made it so much nicer because having Miley in the middle, moving all over the place doesn't give us much room.
In Vegas we went to the Coke store and meet the Coke polar bear. Of course I wanted to buy the picture they took of us. (Not cheap) We also went to the M&M store. We went to the MGM Grand but Miley was sleeping and didn't get to see the lions. Oh well, maybe next time. For dinner we went to the Garden Buffet at Planet Hollywood. That is probably our favorite buffet. They have everything. There desert buffet is to die for. We also love the crab legs. We had so much crab and shrimp. We gave Miley some of our pasta. She loved it. She got very hyper after eating. I don't know if was all the pasta she ate or if it was the chocolate moose pie I shared with her.

The next day we were off to California. But before leaving Las Vegas we had to have In and Out Burger again.
The traffic to California was crazy. It took forever to get there. Luckily before we left we printed directions from google maps to help us get there. It was great. We didn't get lost. When we got there we checked in to our hotel. We stayed at the Disneyland Paradise Pier hotel. It was so nice being so close to the park. We couldn't decided if we wanted to go into the park that night or wait until the morning so we just decided to hang out at Downtown Disney. We ate dinner at Tortilla Joe's and watched the fireworks from our table and went to a couple of the shops before heading back to the room for the night. We took Miley in her Snow White dress. She would get so much attention in her dress. She wore her dress a couple of nights while at Disneyland. I didn't want to her wear it during the day because it was so hot. One of the comments we heard and really like was "That's what Snow White had to have looked like as a baby."
We had so much fun at Disneyland and California Adventures. We all had 5 day park hopper tickets. We didn't feel rushed and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves the whole time.

The only bad part of the trip was Miley, Miles and I all got sick. It sucked. I wasn't surprised that I got sick. I get sick every time we go somewhere. The night before I got sick we had In and Out Burger again. I was obsessed with there burgers. They are probably the only burgers I could eat everyday. I'm not really a big fan of hamburgers. But after being sick, I didn't crave anymore. The thought of another one made me sick. I just hope the next time I'm around In and Out I'll be able to enjoy it again.
While at Disneyland and California Adventures we took Miley on the train, the Ferris wheel and "It's a Small World". She loved "It's a Small World". I also loved "It's a Small World"! I also went on California Screamin, Soarin over California, Indiana Jones Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Grizzly River Run. Miles and Mike went on Space Mountain and Matterhorn bobsleds, but it was too late so Miley and I went back to the room and went to bed. Miles also went on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, but I wasn't feeling good when he got his fast pass ticket so I didn't go on that one and I didn't want to wait in line forever.
Fast Pass is the way to go. It made me feel like v.i.p to hand them my ticket and walk past everyone in line and be on the ride within 5 minutes. We tried to do fast pass most of the time.

While in the parks Miley met with lots of characters. She met Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mulan, Snow White, Cinderella, Tinker Bell, Iridessa and Pluto. At the parks they offer a photo pass. They take the picture, put in on a card and you can view and order your pictures on line. We did that with most of our photos. They are not cheap but they are cute photos so I'm going to have to order them with a photo cd.

We also saw two parades. One was a electrical parade at night. We all really enjoyed those.

We always took our own water into the park. I told myself I wasn't going to buy drinks there, but I guess I couldn't resest. I was always crazing Spite or something with flavor. I don't even want to know how much I spent on drinks and junk food. It was $3.75 for a flavored water. Crazy!
One of the days in Cali we went to Huntington Beach. I love the beach. There wasn't very many people there which was great. The water felt so good. We all enjoyed playing in the sand. Miley really loved the sand. She even tried to eat it. She also really enjoyed feeling the water. I didn't want to leave the beach but I couldn't stay there forever.

On our way back we stopped in Vegas and stayed the night. We stayed at the Stratosphere. We didn't get there till late because we played at Disneyland before leaving. We also had to leave Vegas early to get the rental car back. We than drove all the way home. We got back Saturday night (June 27). Miley did really good in the car except for the last hour. Than I was telling Miles to speed and hurry home. Miley wanted out of her car seat. Luckily we made it home safe and sound and we all had a really good time.
It was also fun to that Grandma and Grandpa Harrison, Mike, Sharla, Sheila, Chrys, Geniel, Lyle, Colton, Celeste, Tony, and Talon all went to California too. It was fun hanging out with everyone.

Our little Princess Miley is 1!

Our sweet little Princess Miley is 1! I can't believe a whole year has went by so fast.

On Saturday we had her birthday party. It went really well. Our house was full of family and friends. Her guest list included - Mom and Dad, Grandma & Grandpa C., Grams and Pa, Mike, Aunt Jessie, Uncle Grant, Cousin Crew, Megan, Kennedy, Aunt Kathy, Cousin Colton, Cousin Talon, Aunt Sharla, Aunt Shelia, Aunt Celeste, Uncle Tony, Uncle Steve, Cousins Cindy and Mondy, Cousin Sean, Daph, Bridger, Ireland, Taygen, Dani, Jeannie, Mike, Kathryn, Justin, Summer, Keilan, Ceina, and Lyle.

The night before my mom and I decorated the house and made Miley's personal birthday cake. We did a practice run on her cake the week before also.

At the party we had marinated chicken, bbq chicken, beans, apple slaw, dutch oven potatoes, jello salads, rice, pasta salad, and bread rolls. It was so yummy.

After we ate we went outside and did the pinata. It was so funny watching the kids beat the poor unicorn. It was way cute watching all the kids scramble for candy once it broke open.

Than it was time for Miley's presents. My mom helped her open her gifts. She sure did get a lot of stuff. Her present list included a Fur Real pony, a Disney Princess toy chest, a Disney Princess TV/DVD combo, Disney Princess table and chairs, a Disney Princess rider, lots of clothes, a Cinderella doll, a baby doll, a tiger stuffed animal, a turqose braclet, a Disney Princess piano, a bubble maker, noise books and learning abc books,a ball, a V-tech learn book, a Disney Princess tea set, a Fisher Price tea set, a walking duck, Baby Einsten dvds and cd and puzzles. She loves all her presents. Thank you so much everyone!

Miley is so cute. Her Fur Real pony Smores came with a carrot. We were showing her how to feed her pony. Later in the day she went to her toy chest, got out the carrot and took it to her pony. She is so smart. Also, another story about her pony. When my dad showed up at Miley's party, when he first walked in he saw the horse moving it's head. (We had the pony turned on) His first reaction was "Oh my gosh, she got her a pony....and they have it in the house. Arn't they worried it is going to shit on the floor?" It took him a second to relize it wasn't real. My dad must have forgot he was with me when I bought the pony.

After presents we had cake and ice cream. We had the Disney Princess cake we had made at the deli. Miley had her own personal cake. She loved it. She didn't get as messy as I thought she would. Which is great. She ate a little bit of it, but I think she had more fun playing in it.

Miley had so much fun and she was so wond up when it was time to go to bed we didn't get her in bed till after 10.
Her party went really well. We all had a lot of fun. Miley was such a good girl, I know she had tons of fun also.
Thank you everyone for such a great party.
Tonight on her actual birthday we went to Monticello to eat at R&F with my parents. They have the best mexican food. After dinner we went to my parent's house and Miley was having so much fun running around and chasing Beans (our cat).
Happy Birthday Miley! We love you! I can't believe how fast this year has went.

Tasty Tuesday - Chicken Rolls

One of my favorite receipts is Chicken Rolls. When I was younger I would beg my mom to make them for me all the time. One time when she went out of town she bought me all the ingredients to make them. She warned me to not eat too much or I would get sick and never want them again. I didn't eat them all at one sitting but nothing went to waste and I still love them!

Chicken Rolls

2 Crescent Roll packages
1 8 oz. cream cheese
green onion
cooked chicken - cut up
Cream of Chicken soup
sour cream

Mix chicken, cream cheese and onion together.
Put inside crescent rolls and bake.
Heat cream of chicken soup with 1/4 can water. Stir in sour cream.
Pour sauce over chicken rolls.

So yummy!

Monday Madness - Planing and Packing

I need to start packing for our trip to California. Disneyland here we come! Do you know how stressful it is to pack for a trip that is going to be longer than a one day trip to Wal-Mart? I'm always forgetting everything. One trip to Cortez....just to Cortez, I don't even think you can call that a trip, I forgot Miley's formula. How sad. Luckily Wal-Mart sales lots of formula so I was able to get it there. I'm also lucky no one got mad at me for opening the formula before I bought it.
I just really don't want to forget anything. I don't want to have to spend money on stuff I already have and should have brought. I made my list and I'm going to check it twice and I hope there is room in our car for all of it.
I'm also worried about traveling a million miles (okay it's not really a million, but it will feel like it) with Miley. Sometimes she does really good and other times we can't even go to the grocery store with out her wanting out of her car seat.

Twilight series

I started reading Twilight after I had Miley. Today I finally finished all four books. I've heard of people finishing them all in a weekend. It took me almost a full year. I hear people say, "I couldn't put it down." I had to put my book down. It seems like every time I would try to read Miley would need me and I wasn't go to ignore her no matter how good the books are.
I'm always looking for a good book, so I'm happy my mom finally talked me into reading them. Like a lot of people, I was hesitant to read a book about vampires. But now my new theme is 'Forget Princess....I want to be a Vampire'.

Am I team Edward or team Jacob? My answer would probably be both!

I will miss reading the Twilight books but I can't wait for New Moon to come to the theaters. And I'll continue to watch my Twilight movie till I get sick of it.

My mom has been reading other vampire books, I'll probably read those later. My next book to read is Marley and Me by John Grogan. I want to watch the movie, but I told myself I wouldn't tell after I read the book.

When hunger strikes......

Miley's all time favorite commercial is the Weight Watcher's commercials with that big orange monster (hunger). Miley will be playing or in the other room but when that commercial comes on she'll stop what she is doing at watch the whole thing. I don't know what it is about that commercial. They are actually really boring, but I think she is in love with "hunger". I'm actually thinking about getting her a Weight Watcher's doll, after googling it, I found out you really can buy one. You can get anything off the Internet.

Happy Birthday Jessie!

Today is my sister's birthday. We (My parents and us)went to Farmington over the weekend to visit her. She also colored and trimmed my hair and cut Miley's bangs. We appriate it very much. Thank you, Jess. Miley's hair is getting so long and it was always in her face, I couldn't see her eyes. Her new bangs look so cute. Miley was scared and cried but Jessie did an excellent job. Also, while we were in Farmington, Jessie took Miley and Crew on a ride in Crew's new wagon. It was so cute, and they both loved it. Miley loves to visit her cousin and Miley loves to go to her aunt's house. She loves playing with Crew's toys and the new surrounding she is in when she is there. Thanks Jess for a fun Saturday.
Also, in Farmington we went to Hastings. Miley ran around all over the store. She would get mad if we tried to hold her. She wasn't scared of anything. We probably ran down every isle including the coffee shop part. In the kids section, she took tons of books of the shelf. I think she had tons of fun in Hastings.
I also have to thank my parents for helping me watch Miley while in Farmington. She was into everything and she was loud, but I think she had a lot of fun. I know I did.
I hope my sister has a great birthday!
