OUCH it stung me! Miley was stung by a bee the other day. How sad it that? I haven't even ever been stung by a bee. (Knock on wood) At least we know she isn't allergic. That would be really bad.

Pioneer Day 2009
Miles, Miley and I went to Monticello Friday night to stay at my parents house for the weekend. Friday night we went to the ball park to eat. The scouts were doing a fund raiser dinner. We had BBQ beef sandwiches, baked beans, chips and a drink. After eating we took Miley to the play ground to play and swing. She was having so much fun. While we were there some kids with a little puppy came by. Miley loved that. The puppy would jump on her but she didn't mind. She was having so much fun. She loved petting the puppy and chasing it. Saturday we went to the parade. Miley loves parades. She has so much fun watching everything and collecting candy. After picking up candy at the 4th of July parade and Pioneer Day parade, she is now a pro. She would actually chase the candy down and hold as many as her little hands could hold before she would unload her candy with us. After the parade we went to the park to eat. I had Mexican food. It was really yummy. At the food booths Miley was really tired but she didn't want to lean back because she didn't want to miss out on anything so she ended up falling asleep leaned forward on the tray on the stroller. It was so cute. At the food booths they had hermit crabs and baby frogs for sale. I wanted to get Miley one....but she is too little. I'll just have to get her something like that when she gets older. We ate dinner at my parents house. It was so good. We had chicken and onion kobos, ribs, sage beans, crab salad, potato salad and strawberry short cake. We all ate till we couldn't eat no more. After dinner we went back to the ball parks to get ready to watch the fire works. Miley had so much fun running all over the place. She will not stay put. We all took turns following her all over. She ran over to a blanket with a bunch of little girls and they shared there crackers with her. It was so cute. She is not afraid of anyone or anything when she is out running free. She even tried to steal someones water bottle. She loved the fireworks. She would make noises and point at them. Towards the end she was getting mad because she didn't want to sit down anymore, she wanted to run around. We all had such a great time. Saturday night my parents were so kind to sleep in the guest room and let us sleep in there room. Miley is so wiggly that its hard to sleep on anything but a king size bed. Thank you Mom and Dad. We all had a great time!

13 Months! New Chair....Simba...and Miley ......Oh My!
Miley is 13 months! Didn't we just have her birthday yesterday?
We had to get Miley her own chair. She would always go sit in her old car seat or in the baby bouncer.
She loves her new Princess chair. She'll go sit in it and read/look at her books or watch TV. Sometimes she shares her chair with Simba.
When she first got her chair it was cute watching her try to sit in it. She would turn around and get ready to sit in it but sometimes she would miss and her little butt would end up on the floor.

1 year baby well check up
Today we took Miley in her for her 1 year baby well check up and to get her shots. She got 3 shots today and she will get 2 more next week. We wanted to split it up so she didn't have to get them all today. Ouch!
Miley wasn't too sure if she liked being at the doctor's office, but when her doctor sings her favorite song to her (Best of Both Worlds by Hannah Montana) things are good.
Her stats:
Weight - 23 lbs.
Height - 30 inches

We had BBQ chicken, beans, dutch oven potatoes, a variety of salads, bread and apple pie. Than I went to my mom's house and opened presents and had strawberry short cake. My mom made it for me. It was so good.
I don't have pictures of my birthday but I did receive my Disney Photo Pass CD in the mail today so I will post some of those.
Happy Birthday to me!

Happy 4th of July!
Happy 4th of July! This morning we go up and got ready for the parade. Miley didn't get up till 8:30 am. Didn't she know it we had to get ready for the parade? What was she doing sleeping in? We decorated her car and we all got ready. My mom came down early to help us. We than we to the parade, which started at 10:00 am. Miley loved the parade! She was running up and down the street. My mom had a good work out chasing her everywhere. When the drill team or cheerleaders came by, they stopped and danced. Miley loved it. She was watching and beating to the music. Every time someone would throw candy, Miley would say "ooohh" and go pick it up. We ended up with a ton of candy, some bead necklaces, and a Frisbee.
After the parade, we went down to the park where they had the booths. There was a ton of booths. Every year I get a Navajo taco, but this year I got Chinese food. It was so good. Miley helped eat our funnel cake. Miley loved playing on the grass. Again, she was running everywhere. It was so hot, so we didn't stay long, but it was a lot of fun.

We than went home to take a nap. We had steaks and dutch oven potatoes for dinner. After dinner we went to the concert in the park. While we were there is started to pour. It also became very windy. It didn't last long, but it was pretty bad. The wind tore apart the stage, and everyone's tents. Luckily we had an umbrella but we still got soaked.
When we were at the park, Miley wouldn't stay put. We had to chase her everywhere. She sure was enjoying her freedom. She even chased other little kids while we were there. She also enjoyed the music. It was a lot of fun.
Miley really enjoyed the fireworks. She was also very tired but she stayed awake the for the whole show. When we got home we put Miley to bed. She fell asleep in the car. Than we went outside and lit our own fireworks. Today was a very good day. I love the 4th of July. It is my favorite holiday!

My Social Security Birthday!
A couple years ago my SIL Nicole was doing our taxes. It was the first year we were married. Before I was married my dad had always done them for me, and I think he always just sent them in. Nicole was e-filing ours. We waited the last day to file....never a good idea. When you e-file, you will get an e-mail saying whether or not it was excepted. We got our e-mail back and it was denied. They said my birthday was wrong. I checked over it and they had my right birthday (07-06-1983). I don't know how they could tell me it was wrong. I think I know when my birthday is! We tried to resubmit it, and again it came back...same reason. Wrong birthday. What the hell? By now I'm freaking out. Taxes are due! We printed the papers that said "copy, do not file" all over them. I couldn't find the actual tax forms. My mom came down that night and got our taxes so she couldn't mail them the next day. Talk about stressed out. I thought I was going to have to go to jail because my taxes were going to be late and I didn't even know when my birthday was.
The IRS got our taxes and everything was good. I guess they didn't care that I sent them on the "do not file" copies.
I was still stressed about my birthday, so one day I was doing a google search about what happened to me and I came across a couple of stories similar to mine. The problem with everyone I read about was that the Social Security people had a different birthday than there actual birthday. So I called the number on the back of my social security card thinking I could be having the same problem. They wouldn't tell me what they had on file but they did tell me it wasn't 07-06-1983 (my actual birthday).
A couple weeks later the Social Security people came to town. I left work on a break to get this taken care of. I was there for 2 hours waiting. When I finally saw the lady, she took notes, looked at my birth certificate and told me it was going to be fixed. I felt relief.
I was glad the next year was going to be easier when it came to filling taxes. Boy, was I wrong. They were declined again...wrong birthday! I was pissed. That stupid lady said she was going to fix it. I wasted 2 plus hours of my life in this small waiting room doing nothing. The worst thing was I had no idea when the Social Security people thought my birthday was.
So we filed the taxes the old fashion way. We mailed them in. At least it wasn't the last day.
A couple days after filling our taxes I got a Social Security statement in the mail. It told me my birthday!
July 03, 1983
If they want to believe my birthday is July 03, than so be it. I already tried to change it once.
This last year doing taxes was great. We put in my Social Security birthday and it was accepted. The first year to e-file.
My mom tells me I can't have two birthdays, but I keep telling her I have proof that I have two birthdays and if she can come up with proof that she has two birthdays than she can also have two.
So, Happy Social Security Birthday to me!
